About Me

I have been a professional artist and tutor for the past 50 years, increasingly driven by an interest in the meta-physical world.  Overall, I have spent most of my working life making journeys.  Journeys that not only test my physical endurance, but also explorations into all spiritual aspects of my life. In my formative career as a landscape artist, these journeys involved searching for the perfect landscapes to turn into paintings.  

 

Later, those forays into wilderness places turned into mini pilgrimages.  Then larger solo journeys with my Connemara pony, Tommy, as part of my creative practice.  Thus the area of ‘pilgrimage’ became a subject for exploring both the internal world as well as the physical, outer world.

 
My journeys with Tommy have ranged from creating a Healing Path with coloured ribbons, from the Holy Island of Lindisfarne in Northumberland, to St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall: to a White Horses Ride for Peace (with white ribbons) whilst visiting all the White Horse hill-cut figures in Wiltshire (and Uffington).  All on my White Pony.  And all whilst being acutely aware of the other-than-human world who have helped and guided me along the way.

My most recent journey has been finding a way forward after a cancer diagnosis  Now, four years disease free, my mission is to help other people in their own battles coping with major issues in their life.  I do this with my version of transformational tarot readings, a mixture of inspirational insights and healing therapies.  

 

I have an extensive collection of oracle cards, but the

Rider-Waite-Smith, Tarot deck feels so intuitive for me because each one of the 22 Major Arcana cards represents a unique facet of the human condition and highlights significant moments that the Fool encounters in his initiation towards enlightenment that resonates with us all.                                       ​
